Val Weaver, B.S., RYT 200 Yoga Alliance, was first introduced to yoga about 15 years ago during a trip to the east coast and fell in love! She continued to practice on her own at home and occasionally dropped in at studios. After having children, Val was even more inspired to increasing her knowledge of yoga and overall health of the body and mind.
In 2010, Val received her 200-hour teacher training certification in St. Louis, MO and is now certified through the National Yoga Alliance. She teaches all types of yoga and breathing classes, including Hot Yoga, Vinyasa, therapeutic yoga for movement disorders, kids yoga, chair yoga, and more. She is light-hearted and affirming in her teaching style.
“My goal is to help students feel comfortable and safe on their mats while growing in mind-body awareness, as well as encouraging them to continue to grow in strength, balance, flexibility and deepen their practice through Pranayama.”
A favorite quote from Mother Teresa:
“People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.”
