From Steve:

“Most of us are trying to avoid our pain, in spite of the fact that it is an inevitable and crucial part of the human experience. In fact, we are never so fully human as when we surrender to the reality of our wounds. Only when we stay with our pain can we hope to learn what it has to teach us in the hopes of ultimately transforming it into something meaningful and life-giving that may just propel us into the life we’ve always wanted.  But it is hard learning how to integrate our wounds into who we are.  I will help you.”

A Favorite Quote from Henry David Thoreau:

“You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. Fools stand on their island of opportunities and look toward another land. There is no other land; there is no other life but this.”
