Danielle Silver

Danielle Silver is a P-Licensed Professional Counselor (supervisor) in the State of Missouri, and a Missouri Associate Alcohol Drug Counselor II (MAADC II).   She holds a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University

Danielle has provided clinical care in a wide variety of settings, including her work in agency-based, in-home, residential, and outpatient environments.  In particular, she has experience working with persons struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse/dependence, co-occurring disorders, trauma, eating disorders, life transitions, family violence and parent/child relationships, and LGBTQ+-struggles. Danielle is passionate about creating dynamic relationships that can provide both support and challenge as clients gain the insights necessary to forge self-awareness and cultivate change.  She values genuineness and vulnerability as pathways to authentic connection.

From Danielle:

“I work to create a truly safe space where you can be your authentic self without fear of judgment or ridicule.  Authenticity naturally implies vulnerability, willingness to hazard the risk of attempting change, breaking habits, and challenge behaviors as necessary, while also acknowledging and not apologizing that it is still okay to be you!  I don’t believe in quick fixes, but rather journeying toward growth in solidarity with you, conveying compassion for you, and guiding you as I best I can.”

A favorite quote from Maya Angelou:

“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”
