Courtney Boddie

Courtney Boddie, MEd, PLPCCourtney Boddie is Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Missouri, and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).   He holds a MEd in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a PhD. in Counselor Education from the University of Missouri–St. Louis (UMSL), ranked second in the nation of all counselor education programs.  In his full-time capacity, Courtney is the Director of Counseling Services at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville (SIUE).

He enjoys working with those seeking spiritual growth, identity development (including LGBTQ+ issues), self-compassion, healing from internalized stigma/shame, emotional intelligence, and career development.  Courtney is available for adult individual counseling via online modalities.

From Courtney:

“We already have everything we need to thrive in life, but often don’t realize it or know how to harness our resources to their fullest potential.  I specialize in helping clients to thrive — to transition from mere survival to wellness.  As a therapist, I try to adapt to your changing needs as a helper, healer, coach, teacher, and fellow traveler.   I’m looking to be a safe place to entrust your pain, and to offer comfort, warmth, and acceptance, along with frank and authentic insight.”

A Favorite Quote from Brené Brown:

“Faith is the vulnerability that flows between shores of certainty.”
