Christina Thaier is P-Licensed Professional Counselor (supervisor) in the State of Missouri. She holds a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Missouri–St. Louis (UMSL), ranked second in the nation of all counselor education programs. At UMSL, Christina currently holds teaching appointments, provides individual and group therapy, and is currently obtaining a PhD in Counseling and Counselor Education.
Christina believes that each of us deserves the opportunity to feel understood, valued, and worthy of connection and belonging. She partners with clients to discover the stories within them, and to create opportunities where clients come to experience themselves as the author of their next chapter. She enjoys working with clients and couples who are seeking growth and self-reflection, healing from past or current hurts, feeling overwhelmed by stress or symptoms, and those who are feeling lost in their relationships or path.
“I believe that each of us holds, within our hearts and minds, a deeply personal and intricate story of who we are and what is possible. Unfortunately, we are not always aware of what those stories are, or what we might want them to be. I am interested in helping create the kind of space where you feel safe to discover the stories in your own heart – both the ones that brought you here, and the ones that will take you to where you want to go.”
A Favorite Quote from Gabriel Garcia Marquez:
“There is always something left to love.”
