“In our society, we have become skilled at burying our feelings under intellect and rationalization. In counseling, I help clients uncover their buried feelings and to communicate them openly and honestly with themselves and their loved ones, often for the first time. This process enhances understanding, increases empathy, and ultimately, fosters the ability to understand the driving forces behind our thoughts and actions, which have sometimes confused us for years. Once these roadblocks are overcome, clients can achieve the deep and meaningful connections they long for.”
A favorite quote from Charles Bukowski:
“What matters most is how well you walk through the fire.”
